In the absence of an official update, Mortal Kombat Project has since served as the basis for several other Mortal Kombat-inspired full-game projects, with most of them being direct modifications of the original game. This free MUGEN game features a lot of fighters.
The end result is amazing and turns MKP 4.1 into one of the best free MK MUGEN games.On the other hand, The King of Fighters Zillion MIX appears to be the ultimate fighting game for The King of Fighters. Mortal Kombat Project 5.1 was planned to come out in 2009 This remastered version has been improved by borg117 and Boris Suworov. Project appears to have been taken up by a different team.
